This role acts as the primary legal point of contact in Germany, collaborating closely with the UK Group Legal team to manage healthcare regulation, commercial contracts, and corporate governance in a fast-paced health-tech environment.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Fully qualified lawyer in Germany (Volljurist/Volljuristin).
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of PQE with experience operating as sole or lead counsel.
- Language: Professional fluency in both German and English (drafting and negotiation).
- Preferred: Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries; experience with data protection (Datenschutzbeauftragter).
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Manage litigation risk, medicinal product/device compliance, and debt recovery.
- Advise on healthcare and AI regulation, including digital health platform development.
- Draft and negotiate German-law commercial agreements and vendor contracts.
- Oversee end-to-end GDPR/BDSG compliance and corporate governance.
- Provide guidance on German employment law, including hiring and works council requirements.
- Establish scalable legal operations, templates, and contract management tools.
