Contextual Overview

GLENCORE Nordenham is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel (Unternehmensjurist) to provide comprehensive legal support to its management and departments. This role involves managing national and international contracts, labor law matters, compliance, and data protection within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Completed law degree with two German State Examinations (1. & 2. Staatsexamen).
• Several years of professional experience in-house or in a commercial law firm.
• Strong foundation in commercial, contract, and labor law.
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
• Experience in industrial/regulated sectors (e.g., energy, mining, manufacturing) is preferred.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Legal Advisory: Advising management on strategic projects and identifying/mitigating legal risks.
• Contract Law: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating national and international commercial contracts.
• Labor Law: Managing individual and collective labor law issues, including negotiations with the Works Council.
• Compliance & Governance: Supporting the compliance management system, GDPR implementation, and corporate governance standards.
