Opportunity Overview: Legal Counsel at Global Payments Inc.

Global Payments Inc. is hiring a Legal Counsel (Radca Prawny/Radczyni Prawna) to join its legal team at GlobalTech Poland in Warsaw. The selected candidate will provide legal support for commercial contracts, corporate governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance within the fintech and global payments sector.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualifications: Higher degree in law and holding the professional title of Legal Counsel (Radca Prawny).
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of professional legal experience, ideally within fintech, financial services, or new technology sectors.
• Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of fintech regulations, data protection laws (GDPR/RODO), and commercial/IT contract drafting.
• Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Additional Assets: In-house legal department experience, IP law background, and exposure to cross-border/international transactions.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Monitor regulatory compliance (specifically fintech regulations) and conduct legal risk assessments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and IT contracts, advising on partner negotiations.
• Provide corporate governance support, preparing corporate documentation for the Management Board, Supervisory Board, and Shareholders.
• Advise business, product, and marketing teams on regulatory compliance for new products and services.
• Handle data protection compliance (GDPR/RODO), information security matters, and handle legal disputes.
