Gowling WLG is seeking a qualified solicitor (England and Wales) to join its Competition, Foreign Investment & Trade (CFIT) team in London. The role focuses on high-quality instructions involving merger control, FDI/NSIA issues, competition investigations, and subsidy control for a diverse national and international client base.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualified solicitor (England and Wales).
• 2–4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in UK and/or EU competition law.
• EU legal qualification and experience in trade, customs, or sanctions are considered advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Advising on merger control, market investigations, and competition law compliance.
• Providing support for dawn raids and competition investigations.
• Managing NSIA/FDI issues and subsidy control matters.
• Engaging in client-facing work and participating in sector-aligned business development.
