Harneys is hiring for a 12-month contract position in the Transactional Department at its Singapore office. The role involves working on a varied portfolio of banking, corporate, funds, regulatory, and private wealth matters for clients with interests in offshore jurisdictions including the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Anguilla, and Bermuda.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Junior Associate: Singapore or overseas (common law) qualified; newly qualified to one year’s transactional experience.
• Experienced Paralegal: Three to five years’ relevant experience in a transactional or corporate practice.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and clear written communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in offshore work and comfort with technology and AI-enabled workflows.
• Must be eligible to work in Singapore.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Support transactional matters from file opening through to closing and post-closing.
• Assist with research, drafting, and matter administration.
• Manage know-your-customer (KYC) and customer due diligence checks, conditions precedent checklists, execution packs, and fund filings.
• Liaise with registered agents and other counterparties.
• Build a strong working knowledge of offshore legal markets.
