The role involves protecting the organization's legal interests, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing a broad range of corporate, commercial, employment, and IP matters.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of legal experience from a top-tier law firm or an in-house legal department of a publicly listed company.
- Qualifications: Law degree from a reputable institution supported by strong academic credentials and a valid licence to practise law.
- Language: Fluent Arabic speaker is essential.
- Regional Expertise: Prior Middle East experience is required with deep familiarity with regional laws and regulatory frameworks. FMCG sector experience is advantageous.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Review, negotiate, and draft contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders during negotiations with external partners to mitigate risk.
- Provide legal advice across employment law, IP, litigation, and regulatory compliance under the guidance of the General Counsel.
- Conduct legal research and assist in dispute resolution through mediation, settlements, or litigation support.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for coordination with external counsel.
