Legal Counsel – Hays (Hong Kong)
Hays is recruiting a Legal Counsel to join its in‑house legal team at a technology company in Hong Kong.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Juris Doctor (JD), Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification
- Qualification in a common law jurisdiction is advantageous but not essential
- More than 2 years of relevant post‑qualification or legal experience
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese proficiency highly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience in multinational or cross‑border, multicultural settings
- Commercially minded with sound judgment and a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements (product development, IP licensing, marketing, etc.)
- Provide legal advice, regulatory guidance and risk assessments on operational and business matters
- Monitor and analyse legal and regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions
- Develop, implement and maintain internal policies, procedures and compliance guidelines
- Conduct legal risk assessments and advise on changes to laws, regulations and industry standards
- Deliver legal training and knowledge‑sharing sessions to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to provide practical and commercially focused legal support
Stipend & Compensation
Base pay range: HK$40,000.00 – HK$60,000.00 per month (paid)
