Contextual Overview
Hays is recruiting a Legal Counsel for a globally recognised business solutions and consumer product provider to support the expansion of its IT solutions and managed services business across Hong Kong and the PRC.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Hong Kong qualified lawyer.
- Experience: 4-8 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in private practice or in-house environments.
- Language: Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Preferred: Experience in fintech, data privacy, cybersecurity, IP, ESG, and PRC-related matters; GBA legal qualification is highly desirable.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements and corporate documentation.
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to business teams in Hong Kong and the PRC.
- Provide guidance on legal, regulatory, compliance, and risk-related matters.
- Advise on data privacy, AI, ESG, IP, and employment law.
- Support governance, company secretarial, and policy-related initiatives.
Stipend & Compensation
Base Pay Range: HK$60,000 – HK$70,000 per month.
