Head of Legal & Compliance, APAC (Medical Devices)

Contextual Overview

Hunt Talent Partners is recruiting for a Head of Legal & Compliance, APAC (Medical Devices) position on behalf of a well-established Japanese Medical Devices manufacturer setting up its APAC regional hub in Singapore. This greenfield role serves as the sole legal and compliance lead for the APAC region, acting as a trusted advisor to senior management.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• At least 5 to 8 years of professional experience in legal, compliance, or corporate governance.
• Industry background ideally within Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, or other highly regulated sectors.
• A law degree or professional legal qualification is preferred, though not strictly mandatory.
• Prior regional headquarters or APAC-facing exposure is strongly advantageous.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Provide practical legal counsel on commercial contracts, corporate matters, and regulatory issues across the APAC region.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks and manage communications with external legal counsel.
• Build and implement a comprehensive regional compliance framework from scratch, including policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with HQ and local regulations.
• Oversee compliance risk assessments, monitoring, reporting, whistleblowing/Speak Up programs, and internal audits/investigations.
• Act as a key bridge between global HQ and local entities to ensure uniform regional standards.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Base Salary: $12k - $15k / month + AWS + Performance Bonus (PB)

Mode: Full-Time (On-site in Singapore)
