Legal Counsel

Contextual Overview

ICG is seeking a junior Legal Counsel to join its Group Legal team in London. This role involves working on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, providing legal support for global business expansion, and acting as a trusted advisor within a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Private practice trained with 1–4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Skills: Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Domain Knowledge: Experience in corporate, commercial, and/or funds law.
• Academic Background: Strong academic record.
• Attributes: Ability to work independently and within a team; previous in-house experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Drafting and managing corporate matters including reorganisations and share/asset transfers.
• Negotiating commercial contracts, terms and conditions, and supply agreements.
• Advising on regulatory frameworks, anti-trust matters, and intra-group arrangements.
• Serving as the legal point person for global expansion projects and commercial risk assessment.
• Assisting with ESG-related legal matters.
