Infosys is hiring an Advisor - Privacy & Data Protection for a full-time mid-senior level role based in Bengaluru East, Karnataka, India, focusing on privacy compliance, data governance, and information security within IT and consulting operations.

Demonstrated experience in Data Privacy matters operating as both a Data Controller and Data Processor.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

Partner with the product development team on new product rollouts (including cloud-based systems) to recommend privacy-related features and controls (Privacy by Design).
Review and respond to privacy-related sections in RFI/RFQ/MSAs from clients and collaborate on feasibility studies during the pre-contract sign-off stage.
Advise delivery teams on the implementation of privacy requirements and conduct employee awareness training on lawful handling of PII.
Lead the data breach handling process to effectively resolve any reported privacy gaps in current processes and systems.
Manage personal data access requests from individuals and assess subcontracting/outsourcing activities involving PII to recommend appropriate vendor contract clauses and privacy controls.
Liaison with external Privacy and Data Protection Counsel for expert views and audits, while identifying and implementing internal data privacy initiatives.
