Contextual Overview

Intellect is seeking an experienced In-house Legal Counsel to join their team in the Kuala Lumpur Surrounding Area. This role serves as Intellect's key in-house legal partner, supporting the global scaling of the business across commercial, corporate, regulatory, and cross-functional legal needs.

Key Eligibility Criteria

Qualified lawyer, ideally in Singapore, England & Wales, Australia, or another relevant Commonwealth jurisdiction.
Approximately 4-7+ years of post-qualification experience.
Significant experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with enterprise customers and partners.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

Commercial & Contracting: Own the drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of enterprise customer agreements, MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, partnership and vendor agreements.
Global Expansion & Regulatory: Support international expansion, market-entry considerations, healthcare regulations, and regulatory risk assessments.
Product, Privacy & Data: Advise on privacy, data protection, terms of service, and product-related legal matters across digital and AI-enabled offerings.
People & General Legal Support: Partner with the People team on employment matters, policies, and coordinate external specialist counsel as needed.
Corporate & Strategic Matters: Provide legal support across corporate governance, strategic initiatives, and executive decision-making.
