IonQ, Inc., a leading quantum‑computing company, is hiring an Associate General Counsel, Product to join its legal team. The role partners with product, research, engineering and go‑to‑market teams to provide regulatory and transactional counsel across the product lifecycle.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar (or eligibility for in‑house counsel status).
- 8+ years of relevant experience at a top law firm and/or in‑house legal department.
- Extensive experience with regulatory compliance for technology product manufacturing, distribution and sale (U.S. and abroad).
- Proven ability to draft, negotiate and close complex technology‑driven transactions.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Provide practical legal guidance to product and research teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead regulatory compliance efforts for manufacturing, distribution and sale of IonQ products worldwide.
- Draft, negotiate and execute strategic partnerships, licensing, joint‑development, supply and manufacturing agreements.
- Build and scale the product legal function, including playbooks and processes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (engineering, finance, privacy, compliance, trade, etc.) and external counsel.
- Translate complex legal concepts into actionable advice for non‑lawyers.
Stipend, Compensation & Mode
Base salary range: $160,000 – $240,000 USD. Total compensation includes bonus, equity and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, unlimited PTO, parental leave, legal insurance, home‑technology stipend, etc.).
