The role involves managing commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and cross-departmental legal advice to support the group's global growth and entry into new nicotine categories.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Master of Law or equivalent completed legal education.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience in a commercial legal environment, preferably as an in-house lawyer in an international organization.
- Industry Background: FMCG background preferred; experience in regulated product categories is a plus.
- Legal Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge in Civil, Commercial, Competition, Transport, and EU law, with extensive experience in drafting commercial contracts.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory. Working knowledge of German, French, or other international languages is a strong advantage.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including sales, distribution, promotional, manufacturing, NDA, intercompany, and finance contracts.
- Provide ongoing support for contract lifecycles (renewals, amendments, and terminations).
- Ensure compliance of business contracts with applicable EU and local laws, regulatory standards, and internal corporate governance.
- Collaborate with the Head of Legal, Legal Officer, and Legal Assistant on corporate governance, legal opinions, and contract workflow management.
- Monitor legal and regulatory updates impacting local entities and cross-border operations.
- Contribute to workflow optimization, including utilizing AI-driven legal tools.
