L&C Mortgages is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to provide strategic legal support in a part-time (3 days per week) capacity. The role is hybrid with a requirement for monthly travel to Bath or London.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• Significant post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Strong background in commercial contracts, M&A, and corporate transactions.
• Experience advising executive teams and senior stakeholders.
• Desirable: Experience in financial services (FCA-regulated), SaaS/Tech projects, or private equity.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex commercial contracts.
• Supporting M&A, investments, and strategic partnerships.
• Leading legal due diligence and managing transaction risk.
• Advising senior leadership on business strategy, governance, and regulatory risk.
• Supporting new products and business transformation projects.
