Associate Staff Attorney

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an Associate Staff Attorney to join their legal team in San Antonio, TX. This role focuses on representing the company and its policyholders in moderately complex civil litigation, including personal injury, property damage, and workers' compensation matters. The position is primarily remote, with the requirement for in-person appearances as needed.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school.
• Current admission to the bar in the required state and in good standing.
• General knowledge of insurance law, workers’ compensation, and/or No Fault law.
• Proficiency in e-discovery, case management systems, and legal research tools.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Provide legal opinions and strategic advice to Claims Representatives and insured clients.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks to facilitate case resolutions.
• Maintain compliance with ethical standards and organizational best practices.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Base Pay Range: $93,000.00 – $159,000.00 per year. Additional benefits include performance bonuses, 20 days of flexible time off, and 401(k) matching.
