Senior Legal Counsel, APAC

Contextual Overview

Logicalis Asia Pacific is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead its legal function across the APAC region. The role involves providing strategic, commercial, and operational legal support, with a heavy focus on data privacy, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance within the IT services sector.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Degree in Law or equivalent; admission to practice in a relevant jurisdiction preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience in regional or multinational environments.
• Strong background in commercial law, contracts, corporate governance, and data protection.
• Prior experience as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) in APAC (e.g., Singapore PDPA) is highly preferred.
• Experience in the ICT or technology industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Chinese is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Lead and manage all legal matters across Asia, aligning with global legal strategy.
• Oversee complex commercial contracts, tenders, and strategic partnerships.
• Serve as the Regional Data Protection Officer (DPO), ensuring compliance with cross-border data transfer regulations.
• Provide strategic advice on M&A, joint ventures, and business expansion.
• Manage external legal counsel and mentor the regional legal team.
