Contextual Overview

Logicalis, a global provider of digital transformation services, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for the APAC region based in Singapore. This leadership role involves providing strategic, commercial, and operational legal support, with a specific focus on data privacy, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Law degree; admission to practice in a relevant jurisdiction preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience in regional or multinational environments.
• Expertise: Strong background in commercial law, complex contract negotiations, corporate governance, and data protection/privacy laws.
• Preferred Skills: Prior experience as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) in APAC (e.g., Singapore PDPA) and experience in the ICT/technology sector.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Lead the legal function across APAC, aligning with global strategy and regional business objectives.
• Serve as the Regional Data Protection Officer (DPO), overseeing privacy compliance, cross-border data transfers, and regulatory reporting.
• Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts, strategic partnerships, and M&A initiatives.
• Establish and maintain legal and compliance risk management frameworks.
• Manage external legal counsel and mentor the regional legal team.
