Overview
LYNX Beleggen is seeking a Team Lead Legal - Legal Counsel based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The role involves managing the company-wide legal function, providing strategic counsel across departments, leading a team of legal professionals, and maintaining a robust legal framework within the financial services and online brokerage industry.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Extensive experience as an external lawyer or in-house Legal Counsel with governance responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch financial legislation and frameworks (BW, Wft, Bgfo, Wwft).
- Deep understanding of European regulatory frameworks, including MAR, GDPR, DORA, MiFID II, IFR, and IFD.
- Experience with cross-border legal coordination, outsourcing arrangements, and third-party risk management.
- Professional fluency in both Dutch and English with strong analytical and communication capabilities.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Supervise, coach, and guide a team of legal professionals with clear accountability.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the company-wide annual legal roadmap.
- Serve as the primary legal advisor for Compliance, Risk, Finance, Operations, and IT departments.
- Represent LYNX in legal matters with regulators, auditors, affiliates, and external supervisory entities.
- Ensure internal policies, SOPs, and legal documentation comply with regulatory changes.
- Coordinate cross-border legal topics across LYNX's international operations.
