MANUAL (rebranded as Voy), a health-tech company operating in the UK, Germany, and Brazil, is seeking a Legal Counsel to manage litigation, regulatory, and employment matters. The role involves partnering with leadership and clinical teams to navigate pharmaceutical regulations, manage disputes, and provide employment law support within a high-autonomy, tech-driven legal function.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction).
- 2+ years of relevant contentious and/or regulatory experience.
- Hands-on experience in life sciences regulation, pharmaceuticals, and/or medical devices.
- Strong employment law capability (core practice or significant in-house exposure).
- Experience with technology and AI in legal functions is required.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Own disputes strategy end-to-end, including pre-action correspondence, litigation, negotiation, and settlement.
- Lead responses to regulatory investigations, enforcement activity, and information requests.
- Advise on regulatory landscapes for medicinal products and medical devices (MA licensing, pharmacovigilance, promotional review).
- Provide practical employment law advice across the employee lifecycle (contracts, disciplinary, grievances, exits).
- Manage employment disputes including ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunal matters.
- Develop dispute playbooks, escalation pathways, and document retention strategies.
