MUFG Investor Services is seeking an experienced Executive Director, Legal to join its legal team based in Singapore. Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role provides comprehensive legal advisory, regulatory, and documentation support to the organization's core global businesses including fund administration, custody, banking, and corporate secretary services.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified lawyer with 7-10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Must hold a valid practicing certificate in England and Wales or New York.
- Prior experience in an in-house legal role, ideally with a bank, fund manager, or fund service provider.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Provide legal advisory, regulatory, and documentation support for core businesses such as fund administration, registrar and transfer agent, investor AML services, banking, custody, trustee, and regulatory reporting.
- Review, draft, and negotiate legal documents including service agreements, administration agreements, middle office and BPO agreements, FATCA agreements, declarations of trust, NDAs, intragroup agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Respond to legal queries from operational departments, internal control groups, client integration teams, senior management, and entity boards.
- Manage and coordinate with external legal counsel across key jurisdictions.
- Support and manage projects, new business initiatives, and the creation of legal precedents.
