Responsibilities & Scope of Work

Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS contracts and other commercial agreements to support go-to-market efforts.
Support and coach sales teams on deal structure, contract negotiations, and customer contract disputes.
Analyze and advise internal stakeholders and leadership on contractual risks in the APJ regions, particularly concerning commercial, partner, and privacy commitments.
Act as a central point of contact for new and updated agreement templates, with primary responsibility for all Japanese form agreements.
Partner with Contract Managers and Deal Desk to drive agreement execution and serve as an escalation point for decisions requiring counsel authority.
Collaborate with Privacy Legal to ensure understanding, manage risk tolerance, and standardize responses regarding global privacy regulatory regimes, especially in Japan.
Work closely with the Partner sales and business teams to establish and grow New Relic's business through partners like resellers, distributors, and system integrators.
Serve as a trusted advisor, providing practical guidance that balances business objectives and legal risk.
Gain a deep understanding of New Relic’s SaaS and business model, staying informed about evolving technology, buying programs, and relevant laws.
