Senior Compliance Manager

Contextual Overview

OKX is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Manager for its Dubai office to lead compliance initiatives, manage regulatory adherence within the cryptocurrency sector, and support the MLRO in ensuring adherence to VARA Guidance and UAE standards.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or certifications such as CAMS, CCEP preferred).
• Proven experience in compliance management, including previous experience as an MLRO/Deputy MLRO within cryptocurrency, fintech, or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of AML, CTF, and data protection regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in dealing with regulators and auditors on AML audits and investigations.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Design, implement, and maintain internal compliance manuals, policies, and systems for combating money laundering and terrorism financing.
• Support the MLRO in ensuring OKX UAE complies with regulatory responsibilities, including VARA Guidance.
• Support ongoing monitoring, resolution of AML/CFT cases, and assist in responding to legal/regulatory requests.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and external partners, and deputise for the MLRO as required.
• Engage cross-functionally across Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and Risk teams.
• Oversee compliance reviews, investigations, and prepare compliance reports for management and the Board.
