Associate Counsel, Growth & Partnerships (Hybrid) – OpenTable
OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, is hiring a pragmatic, business‑forward counsel to support its fast‑paced legal function in London. The role focuses on commercial transactions, global marketing and advertising law, and intellectual property matters across the UK, EU and other markets.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales (or equivalent qualification in another jurisdiction), in good standing.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing, advertising, or commercial contracting, preferably with UK/EU advertising and consumer protection law.
- Strong knowledge of advertising requirements (e.g., ASA/CAP Codes, UK GDPR) and intellectual property licensing.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Draft, review and negotiate international commercial agreements related to marketing, advertising, partnerships, licensing, vendor and client contracts, NDAs, and service agreements.
- Approve advertising and marketing materials to ensure compliance with global legal requirements.
- Advise on brand, trademark, copyright, content clearance, licensing and rights of publicity.
- Provide guidance on global regulatory and marketing compliance obligations across the UK, EU and other markets.
- Develop scalable legal resources such as templates, playbooks and self‑service tools for business teams.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, Booking Holdings legal colleagues and outside counsel as needed.
