Associate Counsel, Growth & Partnerships (Hybrid) at OpenTable

OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, Inc., is seeking a pragmatic, business-forward Associate Counsel to join its Legal team in London. This hybrid role (2 days/week in-office) involves managing a portfolio of commercial transactions and providing day-to-day global marketing and advertising law guidance.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales (or equivalent qualification in another jurisdiction), in good standing.
• 3+ years' experience supporting marketing, advertising, and commercial contracting functions.
• Strong working knowledge of advertising requirements (e.g., ASA/CAP Codes, UK GDPR), promotional marketing laws, and intellectual property licensing.
• Familiarity with U.S. advertising and marketing law is a plus.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft, review, and negotiate international commercial agreements (marketing, partnerships, licensing, NDAs).
• Review and approve advertising and marketing materials for compliance with global legal requirements.
• Advise on brand and intellectual property matters, including trademark, copyright, and rights of publicity.
• Advise cross-functional teams on regulatory and marketing compliance obligations (UK, EU, and other markets).
• Develop scalable legal resources such as templates, playbooks, and self-service tools.
