Senior Legal Counsel (Global Payments, Regulatory & Licensing | Team Management)

Contextual Overview

OSL, a leading SFC-licensed digital asset platform and PayFi innovator, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team in Singapore. This role focuses on global licensing strategy, regulatory engagement, and team management within the digital asset and payment infrastructure sector.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: Minimum 8+ years PQE, with training from top-tier international law firms or leading tech/fintech companies.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated success in executing financial services, payment, or digital asset (VASP) license applications.
• Language Proficiency: Business fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of global payment regulations, central bank rules, and digital asset compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Lead global licensing submissions, renewals, and strategic regulatory filings across Europe, LatAm, SEA, and Africa.
• Act as the primary legal liaison with financial regulators, central banks, and external counsel.
• Advise executive leadership on strategic risk and expansion boundaries based on global financial services and crypto regulations.
• Manage and mentor a team of 1–2 junior legal counsel/specialists.
• Draft and negotiate regulatory-driven agreements, joint ventures, and strategic banking partner contracts.
