Associate Attorney – Fixed Income

Piper Sandler is seeking a talented Associate-level Attorney to join its growing Fixed Income legal practice in New York, NY. The role involves working closely with partners and senior counsel on complex finance, banking, and structured finance transactions.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Degree: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Active member in good standing of the NY State Bar.
• Experience: 5–7 years of experience in a Finance, Banking, or Structured Finance practice at a reputable law firm, investment bank, or other financial institution.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft and negotiate primary and ancillary finance documents including credit agreements, security agreements, and intercreditor agreements using LSTA, LMA, or bespoke frameworks.
• Assist in executing structured finance transactions such as warehouse facilities, asset-based lending, and securitizations (RMBS, CMBS, ABS, etc.).
• Independently manage assigned transaction workstreams and coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
• Monitor relevant regulatory and legislative changes and advise internal stakeholders accordingly.
• Manage outside counsel, outside legal expenses, third-party matters, NDAs, engagement letters, and ancillary litigation matters.
