Legal Counsel - Germany at POP MART
POP MART, a leading global company in the trend culture and entertainment industry (HKEX: 09992), is seeking a fully qualified Legal Counsel for its German entity in Berlin. This full-time, permanent position involves managing comprehensive legal operations, risk management, compliance, and intellectual property protection for the company's operations in Germany.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Fully qualified German lawyer; completion of First and Second German State Examinations in Law is highly preferred.
- Admission to the German Bar is a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally a combination of law firm and in-house counsel roles.
- Experience in a multinational corporation and/or retail sector is preferred.
- Excellent command of German and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to independently manage complex legal projects.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Legal Operations: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and leases.
- Compliance & Risk: Manage regulatory compliance for import/export, product labeling, advertising, data protection, employment law, and consumer protection. Develop and monitor compliance programs.
- Intellectual Property: Oversee IP protection in Germany and negotiate IP licensing agreements.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with external legal counsel, government agencies, and cross-functional internal teams.
- Group Liaison: Assist HQ legal team with M&A activities, auditor reviews, and corporate governance matters.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: 70,000 - 80,000 EUR per annum.
- Bonus: Annual performance bonus.
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week.
