Key Eligibility Criteria

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 8+ years of practising law in Ireland and/or the United Kingdom.
• Minimum 2+ years of in-house experience and 2+ years of commercial experience (startup experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy impact assessments, and cross-border data transfers.
• Knowledge of recent regulations including the EU AI Act and US state AI acts.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft and negotiate streamlined SaaS commercial contracts.
• Support Sales and Engineering teams with pre-sales legal issues.
• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance and privacy programs.
• Conduct impact and risk assessments, including data protection audits.
• Monitor worldwide AI legislation and advise on responsible/ethical AI development.
• Manage and mentor a junior legal associate.
