Senior Corporate Counsel - Corporate at QTS Data Centers
QTS Data Centers, a global digital infrastructure leader and portfolio company of Blackstone, is hiring a Senior Corporate Counsel to join its Legal Department in Overland Park, KS. This mid-senior level, full-time role involves providing practical, business-focused counsel across corporate, commercial, and compliance matters, partnering with internal stakeholders to manage legal risk and support strategic initiatives.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
- 5+ years of experience practicing law, focusing on general corporate matters, legal compliance, and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience or interest in employment and dispute/litigation matters.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Provide practical legal advice to business partners on complex matters and day-to-day counsel to manage legal risk.
- Manage outside counsel, counterparties, and third parties.
- Handle general corporate matters including legal entity management, contracting support (intercompany/commercial agreements), and governance.
- Monitor evolving laws and regulations (environmental, employment, privacy) and implement compliance policies.
- Provide legal support on employment matters (hiring, separations, compensation programs).
- Review marketing, advertising, and external communications for legal and regulatory alignment.
