Contextual Overview

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team in Englewood, CO. The role involves providing proactive legal advice to senior management, managing commercial agreements, supporting M&A activities, and overseeing compliance and litigation matters.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Degree: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensure: Active membership in good standing in Colorado or eligibility to obtain admission.
• Experience: 4–7+ years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on commercial contracts.
• Background: Prior in-house legal experience is required.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Advise senior executives on legal risks and strategic business considerations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial agreements (customer, vendor, supply, licensing, etc.).
• Support compliance initiatives, including data privacy and employment matters.
• Manage outside counsel and resolve claims/litigation.
• Assist with M&A due diligence and transaction document negotiation.
• Improve legal department processes and contract management systems.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Salary Range: USD $150,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year. The position also includes comprehensive benefits such as 401k matching, health insurance, and paid time off.
