Senior Legal Counsel - Core

Remote is a global HR-tech organization focused on simplifying international employment compliance. The Senior Legal Counsel - Core role sits within the Legal Core Team, which acts as the first line of defense for the company. This position involves providing strategic legal advice, managing routine legal processes, and overseeing complex legal projects to support the company's rapid global scaling across 90+ jurisdictions.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in legal practice.
• Strong background in labor and employment law is preferred.
• Proven track record of working autonomously and leading complex legal projects.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and guiding junior legal professionals.
• Proficiency in English; ability to distill complex legal issues into clear, concise language.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Notion, Google Drive, ZenDesk).

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Partner with internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Experience, Onboarding) to provide pragmatic legal solutions.
• Develop and enhance template contracts, playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), particularly for the EOR product.
• Conduct in-depth legal research on new products and global regulations.
• Manage relationships with external local counsel and oversee litigation/collection matters.
• Collaborate with the Legal Ops team on efficiency and AI-driven projects.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode
