Legal Counsel (Commercial) - Retail Firm

Contextual Overview

Robert Half is seeking a qualified Legal Counsel (Commercial) to join a retail firm on a permanent, full-time, and remote basis. This role focuses on managing legal risks within commercial relationships, including contract lifecycle management and strategic advisory for business teams.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Must be an England & Wales qualified solicitor.
• Experience: Approximately 2 to 5 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Sector Expertise: Prior commercial legal experience, ideally within the retail or FMCG industries.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Manage legal risks in commercial relationships with suppliers and customers, including tenders and disputes.
• Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including intragroup agreements, logistics, warehousing, supply of goods/services, technology, and NDAs.
• Support contract lifecycle management, including renewals, updates, and dispute avoidance.
• Advise on contract structure and risks related to commercial strategy.
