SD Legal is recruiting a General Counsel for a global media platform with its APAC headquarters in Singapore. This senior-level role involves providing strategic legal advice to the C-Suite, managing a small team, and overseeing complex commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters across the APAC region.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: Minimum 15+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Background: Proven track record in both Tier 1 law firms and in-house legal departments.
• Sector Expertise: Strong experience in TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecom), with a preference for candidates from the media industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in commercial negotiations, corporate activities (JV and Fundraising), and supporting product, sales, and marketing teams.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Lead commercial deal negotiations, including partnerships and sponsorships at a global level.
• Advise C-Suite on short and long-term business strategy and legal risks.
• Manage cross-border regulatory challenges in collaboration with in-country counsel and external vendors.
• Provide real-time legal support to product, sales, and marketing departments.
• Oversee and mentor a small legal team.
