Legal Counsel - Media (4 - 7 PQE)
SD Legal is recruiting on behalf of a global media platform client for a Legal Counsel role based in Singapore. The position involves partnering with business teams to support ongoing commercial deals, platform growth, and development, reporting directly to the General Counsel.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 4 to 7 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Education: Tier 1 law school and law firm credentials.
- Sector: Essential experience in TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications).
- Functional: Experience supporting product, sales, and marketing teams.
- Soft Skills: Ability to build rapport quickly, high standards for work output, driven but not aggressive, and cultural adaptability in Asia and overseas.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Commercial (60%): Partner with deal teams on new and ongoing commercial deal flow, including partnership and sponsorship deals, navigating cross-border regulatory obstacles.
- Global Transactions (20%): Manage corporate work including Joint Ventures (JV), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and fund-raising to ensure correct business expansion management.
- Compliance (20%): Ensure regulatory compliance across global operations.
- IP Protection: Utilize commercial IP experience to protect brand and products.
