Legal / Senior Counsel - Products/Digital

Contextual Overview

SD Legal is recruiting a Legal / Senior Counsel - Products/Digital based in Singapore on behalf of a regional leader and digital/internet sector player. The role focuses on banking/financial products and regulated digital platforms across Singapore and the broader APAC region, with an equal division between product development/launch and commercial/regulatory matters.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: 7 - 14 Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Qualification: Singapore or Common Law Qualified.
• Background: Prior training in FSR, Banking, or Finance teams.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with regulation and diverse products including digital products, wealth management, and retail banking solutions.
• Profile: Strong educational background combined with tier law firm training and/or in-house experience.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Collaborate closely with business teams on product development, including supporting marketing and sales with cross-border distribution.
• Work alongside product teams to ensure design and implementation align with overall group strategy.
• Support business teams with various commercial agreements such as finance and technology contracts.
• Engage with the MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) and regional governing bodies to ensure regulatory updates and changes are proactively implemented across the group.
