Key Eligibility Criteria

• Active Bar admission in good standing in Minnesota is strictly required.
• Minimum of four years of relevant legal experience in data privacy, M&A, or technology transactions.
• Solid understanding of federal, state (e.g., CCPA), and international privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, TCPA, GLBA, FCRA, CAN-SPAM, COPPA, and FTC Act).
• Superior academic credentials, strong professional references, and exceptional drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Counsel clients on privacy compliance aspects of transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, and technology transactions.
• Draft privacy and security policies, negotiate privacy-related contracts, and prepare data processing agreements.
• Stay ahead of legal developments across privacy regimes and translate changes into practical guidance.
• Lead and assist with incident response, risk assessments, compliance reviews, and regulatory strategy.
• Collaborate directly with partners and clients to build effective data governance strategies.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Compensation: $170,000 - $230,000 annual salary range (dependent on experience and qualifications), plus eligibility for annual bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Mode: Hybrid (Minneapolis office with remote flexibility).
