Role Overview
SiriusXM is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel, Litigation to be based in Washington, DC. This role involves overseeing active litigation and pre-litigation matters, including commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, and music licensing proceedings. The successful candidate will drive enterprise litigation strategy, manage external counsel, and provide proactive legal counsel to senior leadership.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex litigation, class action lawsuits, and regulatory investigations.
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Manage all aspects of litigation from case assessment through resolution.
- Develop and execute litigation strategies to minimize risk and contain costs.
- Oversee discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation.
- Advise business units on best practices to prevent litigation and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage legal budgets and coordinate with outside counsel.
Stipend & Compensation
Base Salary: $193,000 – $243,500 per annum, commensurate with skills and experience. The role may also be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives.
