Full Stack Product Counsel

Skydio, a leader in autonomous flight and drone technology, is hiring a Full Stack Product Counsel to join their legal team in San Mateo, CA. This role focuses on product legal strategy, encompassing privacy, intellectual property, compliance, and commercial transactions, while partnering directly with engineering and business teams.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Active admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 6 years of in-house experience as a generalist or product counsel.
• Proven experience working with both hardware and software products.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Develop and execute product legal strategy across all Skydio offerings.
• Serve as the primary legal point of contact for product and engineering teams.
• Identify risk areas and design creative, practical solutions to address them.
• Implement tools and processes to automate legal workflows and encourage self-service.
• Ensure product compliance across international and domestic markets.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Annual Base Salary: $225,000 - $300,000. The package also includes equity (stock options), comprehensive health benefits, 401K, and paid time off. Relocation assistance may be provided for eligible candidates.
