Contextual Overview
Sonnedix, a global renewable‑energy developer, is hiring a Legal Counsel for its Lisbon office. The role reports to the Head of Legal, Iberia and supports the company’s legal strategy, risk management and compliance across Portuguese operations.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified lawyer with experience in energy, infrastructure, M&A or project finance.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills (EPC, O&M, PPAs, DSAs, ISDA).
- Solid knowledge of Portuguese law; Spanish law is a plus.
- Experience handling employment, property and corporate secretarial matters.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Provide legal support for energy transactions, project financing and commercial contracts.
- Advise on employment, property, corporate secretarial and local governance issues.
- Ensure compliance with Sonnedix’s global policies and Portuguese regulatory framework.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external counsel.
- Utilise AI and digital tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) to improve legal workflow efficiency.
