Senior Counsel – Storm2 (Chicago, IL)

Storm2, a leading fintech, is hiring a Senior Counsel to lead legal strategy for digital asset, blockchain, and payments products.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• 8+ years of legal experience (in‑house or top law firm)
• Strong fintech, payments, banking, crypto, or digital assets background
• Expertise in financial services regulation, BSA/AML, sanctions, privacy, and consumer finance
• Commercially minded with experience supporting innovative products in regulated environments

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Lead legal advisory on digital asset, blockchain, and payments products
• Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Strategy teams on new product launches
• Provide guidance on regulatory, consumer protection, privacy, and compliance matters
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and customer‑facing documentation
• Monitor regulatory developments and help shape legal frameworks for emerging products

Stipend & Compensation

Base salary: $220,000 – $280,000 per year (paid) with annual bonus, equity opportunity, comprehensive healthcare, and 401(k) benefits.
