Associate Attorney

Contextual Overview

Synectics Inc. is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join their legal team in Raleigh, NC (with additional opportunities in Charlotte and Gastonia). The role focuses primarily on family law, litigation, client counseling, and courtroom representation.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Active license to practice law in North Carolina (NC).
• Graduation from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional legal experience.
• Demonstrated first-chair trial experience and family law experience.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Advise clients on ongoing litigation, legal issues, and available options.
• Conduct thorough legal research, review evidence (such as police or DSS reports), and interpret case law.
• Develop case strategies, draft legal documents, pleadings, and separation agreements.
• Represent family law clients in mediations, hearings, and first-chair trials.
• Build trusted client relationships, negotiate settlements, and handle business development initiatives.
• Meet established billable hour requirements.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Base Pay Range: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year (actual pay based on skills and experience). Benefits include a sign-on bonus, free health and dental insurance, 401(k) match, unlimited PTO, and paid bar dues.
