Tanium, an Autonomous IT company, is seeking a proactive Product Counsel to join its legal team. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor to engineering and product management teams, providing legal guidance across the product lifecycle, with a specific focus on AI governance, privacy, and software compliance.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Degree: JD from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active and in good standing in at least one state bar.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience (law firm, in-house, or government) with exposure to software/SaaS technology.
- Expertise: Familiarity with AI legal frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act) and global privacy laws.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Advise on product-related legal issues and AI matters (liability, licensing, risk assessments).
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage inbound/outbound license agreements and open-source review processes.
- Support incident response programs and intellectual property strategy.
Stipend, Compensation & Mode
Salary: $191,000 – $293,000 per annum (base salary). Includes equity awards and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, etc.).
