TotalEnergies is seeking an experienced E&P Senior Legal Counsel to join their legal department in Abu Dhabi. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support for Exploration & Production activities, managing high-value assets, and ensuring the protection of the company's interests through pragmatic legal solutions.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: Minimum 15 years of professional experience in E&P (Exploration & Production) law.
• Education: LL.B. Honors from a civil or common law jurisdiction (Europe, UK, or US). A Master’s degree in Petroleum Law is highly preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in petroleum law, international business/public law, environmental law, and company law.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Negotiations: Drafting, reviewing, and validating agreements; supporting business development teams; and negotiating with state entities and joint venture partners.
• Dispute Resolution: Proactive prevention of disputes and defense of company interests in litigation.
• Compliance & Governance: Monitoring UAE laws and regulations, performing sanction checks, and managing internal corporate governance.
• Advisory: Serving as the Sanction & Ethics Officer for UAE affiliates.
