United Overseas Bank (UOB) is seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) for its Global Markets Legal & Documentation team in Singapore. This role focuses on the drafting, negotiation, and management of trading master agreements and providing legal advisory support for Global Markets' products and operations.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admitted to practice in a common law jurisdiction.
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in legal advisory and/or banking, specifically in legal drafting and documentation.
- Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills; proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required; Mandarin/Chinese and Bahasa are considered advantageous.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Draft, negotiate, and execute trading master agreements (e.g., ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA).
- Provide legal advisory support regarding trade confirmations, term sheets, and project financing.
- Conduct enforceability analysis on netting and collateral through legal opinion reviews.
- Support regulatory projects and maintain data governance/documentation control.
