Legal Counsel at Valar Atomics

Valar Atomics is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their business organization in Long Beach, CA. The role involves providing strategic legal guidance for a company focused on scalable, high-temperature nuclear power. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio including commercial transactions, project finance, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensure: Active member of the California State Bar or eligible for Registered In-House Counsel status.
• Experience: 3–6 years of legal experience, specifically in commercial contracts and transactional matters.
• Authorization: Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements (supply, vendor, construction, technology licenses, NDAs).
• Support project finance transactions and EPC agreement negotiations.
• Provide legal analysis regarding DOE, NRC, and FERC regulatory frameworks.
• Manage employment law matters, corporate records, and outside counsel relationships.

Stipend & Compensation

Base Salary: $200,000 – $260,000 USD, plus equity ownership and comprehensive medical benefits.
