VWV Law, a top-ranked national firm, is seeking an experienced Education Partner to lead their state-funded schools practice within the Regulatory, Risk and Resolution team. The role focuses on providing high-level regulatory advice to Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), Single Academy Trusts (SATs), and state schools.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Proven experience as an Education Lawyer with a focus on public law.
- Expertise in advising academies and state schools on regulatory and risk matters.
- Established sector profile with strong technical and project management skills.
- A client following is desirable but not a pre-requisite.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Lead the state-funded schools practice area.
- Advise on registration and inspection, critical incident management, and admissions appeals.
- Manage complex issues including SEND, discrimination claims, pupil discipline, and safeguarding.
- Handle civil claims and judicial reviews.
- Collaborate across firm departments to provide comprehensive support to AMS (Academy and Maintained Schools) clients.
