Ward Hadaway, a UK Top 100 independent full-service law firm, is seeking a qualified Solicitor with 0 to 4 years of post-qualifying experience to join its Construction team in the Birmingham office. The role involves supporting partners and fee earners across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering matters.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a qualified Solicitor.
• 0 to 4 years of post-qualifying experience (PQE).
• Previous experience in a Construction law role advising on a broad range of matters.
• Strong communication, organisational, time management, and IT proficiency skills.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Advise clients on construction and engineering issues involving employers, contractors, sub-contractors, and financial institutions.
• Handle advisory and contentious matters including negotiations, dispute avoidance, adjudications, court and arbitration proceedings, and mediations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate construction and engineering contracts, professional appointments, warranties, bonds, and guarantees.
• Supervise and delegate work to Trainee Solicitors and Paralegals.
• Contribute to business development, marketing, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Compensation: Competitive salary with benefits including enhanced pension scheme (employer matched up to 6%), 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance cover, health and wellbeing benefits, and a flexible benefits programme.
Mode: Hybrid working (minimum 2 days per week from the Birmingham office).
