Wave Mobile Money is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. This role supports the company's legal operations across Burkina Faso and Niger, focusing on corporate governance, contract management, regulatory compliance, and risk management within the fintech sector.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Master's degree in Law or equivalent.
• Experience: 3–5 years of professional legal experience, preferably in a law firm, financial, or telecommunications environment.
• Language: Professional fluency in both written and spoken French and English.
• Skills: Proven experience in corporate governance and strong knowledge of commercial/corporate regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and support core product legal requirements.
• Manage legal claims, disputes, and litigation procedures.
• Provide legal support for employment matters and company secretarial duties.
• Collaborate with risk and control teams to ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel.
