The role entails reviewing, redlining, and negotiating commercial contracts within the information technology sector while acting as a primary liaison with in-house legal counsel.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Law (LLB) or Master’s in Law (LLM) degree required (a degree in a related field with relevant training and experience may also be considered).
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in reviewing, redlining, and negotiating customer and third-party commercial contracts.
- Domain Expertise: Prior experience in an in-house legal department is strongly preferred, particularly within the IT industry.
- Skills: Expertise in risk identification, contract drafting, CLM tool tracking, and reviewing RFP documents for legal risks.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Review, redline, and negotiate customer terms and conditions including Master Purchase Agreements, Reseller Agreements, Professional Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Subcontracts, NDAs, and Teaming Agreements.
- Structure, draft, and partner on contract negotiations both independently and in collaboration with in-house counsel.
- Act as the primary liaison with in-house legal counsel to facilitate legal reviews of non-standard requests.
- Review Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for areas of legal risk and ensure legally compliant submissions.
- Utilize Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software to manage and track the contract review pipeline from start to finish.
